Join us on a deep dive adventure through the largest habitat on our Earth- the ocean! Over six science sessions, we will be exploring classification of living organisms, food chains and webs, the five ocean layers, weird and wonderful adaptations of sea creatures, discovering how the ocean moves and taking a close look at coral reefs. Take part in fun, hands-on activities and experiments as we learn about our amazing oceans. Optional Resource List: W1: Classification (a small bowl of items that can sorted e.g. assorted Lego, fruit, socks or lollies; week 1 printable*) W2: Food Chains and Food Webs -week 2 printable* W3/4: Ocean layers and adaptations -week 3 printable* W5: Ocean in motion (ziplock sandwich bag, a Sharpie, water, sticky tape, two eggs, two cups of water, salt, a tea spoon and week 4 printable*) W6: Coral reefs (marshmallows, chocolate, a toothpick, sprinkles and laces for an edible activity or playdough as alternative) *Printables -this 4 page printable will be in your confirmation email. Sessions are on Thursdays at 1pm AEST from 23rd April. 1PM AEST is: 1PM Sydney, Melbourne, Canberra, Brisbane 11AM Perth 12:30PM Adelaide, Darwin All Zoom sessions are recorded and the replays will be available until the end of term. These 45 minute sessions are most suitable for 8-12 year olds. One ticket per family/household.
